April 3 & 4-Casa de Fruta, 16th Annual Easter Weekend, Hwy 152 15 miles E. ofGilroy and Hwy 101, and about 30 miles west ofI-5 on Casa de Fruta Pkwy offramp.. 12 x 11 spaces are $160.00 for the fair. Casa de Fruta is world famous, and has a truck stop, 300 space RV park, restaurant, gas station, wine tasting and deli, sweet shop, train ride, and an antique double decker Merry go Round. We setup right where all the action is. A lot of tour buses stop here as well as thousands oftourists. Heavy advertising in 5 newspapers, and a billboard right on Hwy 152. April 30, May 1 & 2 -4th annual Bass Lake Arts and Crafts Fair, Pines Village, Bass Lake, about 50 miles NE of Fresno , and about 8 miles NE of Oakhurst. This is a very popular fair and has been excellent for sales in the past. Heavy advertising. 11 front and 15 deep spaces are $200.00, and most spaces are comers. 3 days of selling from 9-5, and you can stay later if you like. A lot of boaters come in off the lake in the evening. Bass Lake is at 3400 feet elevation in the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains. Named the best lake in the west by Sunset Magazine. No sleeping in vehicles is allowed. Free RV parking on a fIrst come basis is allowed in the upper parking lot above the post office for the weekend. June 12 & 13-Cambria Vet’s Hall Parking Lot-Hwy 1 and Cambria Dr. and Main St. in the beautiful seaside town of Cambria. 14th annual event. 11 front and 10 foot deep spaces are still only $160.00, and the second space if you need it is only half price, and some spaces are much deeper. Usually this fair is excellent for sales. Heavy advertising, and great Hwy 1 frontage brings in a lot of tourists from all over the world. World famous Hearst Castle is only a few miles north on Hwy 1, and beautiful San Simeon State Park is very close. No sleeping in vehicles is allowed, however there are many nice motels in Cambria and in nearby San Simeon and Morro Bay. The new contract allows just my own RV parking in the lot overnight. August 7 & 8-Lone Pine Park, Lone Pine, CA 2nd annual, right off of Hwy 395 on the eastern side of the Sierra Nevada Mountains near Mt. Whitney. VERY LARGE 12 x22 spaces on the grass are just $160.00 and you can stay at the park overnight. Heavy advertising and lots of tourists should make this a great fair. 2009 was very good for sales for vendors! People come from all over the world to climb Mt. Whitney and drive up Whitney Portal and view the Alabama Hills which are close by where so many great John Wayne movies were filmed, and so many other westerns. This is one of the most popular of all Sierra destinations, and world class fishing and camping are also close by. The park has great facilities and even has a creek running through it, and is in a beautiful and high traffic location. You don’t want to miss this fair! San Simeon State Park books early this time of year, so plan accordingly. The new contract allows just my own RV parking in the lot overnight. There is a nice RV park in Morro Bay with full hookups. Located on Hwy 152 about 15 miles East of Gilroy and Hwy 101, and about 30 miles west of I-5 at the Casa de Fruta Pkwy offramp. 4th annual fair. 2009 sales were very good for vendors. Casa de Fruta is world famous, and has a truck stop, 24 hour restaurant, fruit stand, deli, wine tasting, train ride, antique double decker merry go round, sweet shop, 300 space RV park, motel, gas station, and has lovely parklike grounds. The fair is setup where all of the action is right by the train station and the Casa de Sweets. Heavy advertising in 5 newspapers, and a billboard right on Hwy 152, help bring in lots of shoppers. September 24-26-Sanger, 11th annual Hobb's Grove Bluegrass Festival, and
the first year for The Craft Fair to be invited to have arts and crafts
join in the fun! Hobb's Grove is at 14265 Goodfellow, and from Fresno you take Hwy 180 east to Academy and then south to Goodfellow and then east to the festival. 12 x 12 spaces will be just $160 for the 3 days, and includes 2 tickets valued at $45 each. RV and tent camping with no hookups is no charge if you decide to spend the nights too and enjoy all of the jam sessions! The CBA (California Bluegrass Association) sponsors this event now, and it has become a big success! Children under 18 get in for free, and pets are ok on a leash, so bring along the whole family for great bluegrass music and an opportunity for great sales too! Dr. and Main St. 3rd annual. Sales were very good in 2009! This fair is what many vendors have asked me to do, that is, one closer to the holidays. The weather is usually still nice in early November for an outdoor fair. The fee will be $160.00 for an 11 front and 10 foot deep space, with some spaces much deeper. Heavy advertising and great Hwy 1 frontage. No sleeping in vehicles but the most of the motels rates are very reasonable this time of year.
